Injuries!

Whew! Week 3 was rough. With Kenny Britt and Jeremy Maclin underperforming and going out with injuries it was not the best week for my fantasy leagues. The program did predict quite a few of the top performers though. Remember, that it should get better the further into the season we get. Right now a lot of teams, and more importantly, players are a bit unpredictable in reference to their expected performances.

In regards to my fantasy leagues: for Week 3, I won in one league and lost in the other two.

Predictions are done for Week 4 and I will post them soon!

Fantasy Football Predictions NFL 2011 Season Week 3

I wrote a Fantasy Football statistical regression program. I feed it weekly stats and it spits out rankings. It will compute stats more accurately as teams settle in and start to show their true colors. Also, keep in mind that it does not know when players get injured in practice and/or when players commit stupid crimes and get arrested, so you might see players on a list for the next week who are actually out of commission.

The program helped me quite a bit in Week 2 - keeping me at the number one and number two slots for my two NFL.com leagues, and boosting me up to number four in my Yahoo.com league.
